GDCG 2025 FICMIX
ABOUT:
GDCG 2025 Ficmix is an AO3/Discord-based fanfiction remix event for 괴담에 떨어져도 출근을 해야 하는구나 by Baek Deoksoo, often abbreviated as GSGW or GDCG. In this event, fanfiction authors are matched with another author who's written at least one work for the fandom and are asked to reimagine one of their works. This can be accomplished through methods such as (but not limited to) writing the story from a different character's perspective or writing a sequel to a fanfic; more examples and information can be found at the link provided above (underlined in blue text).
*Event is moderated and run by Kopi (extortion on AO3, extorttion on Tumblr, and extortie on Discord). Please feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions or concerns whether through PM, Tumblr asks, or tagging me directly in the Discord server.

FAQ
Q. When I'm matched to an author, do I have to remix a specific fanfiction of theirs?
A. No, you do not. This remix event is based on author matching, where you can remix any of the author's works so long as you produce a new GDCG fanwork inspired by one of the works by the author you've been assigned.Q. Are there any minors participating in the event?
A. No.Q. Can I create an NSFW work?
A. Yes, on a case-to-case basis. Please pay attention to the following caveats.
1. Permission is not required to create a NSFW fic remix for an NSFW fic. If you are looking to make an NSFW fic inspired by an SFW fic, please contact me via email ([email protected]) with your name, the name of the author you've been assigned, how you want to make the fic NSFW (sexual content, gore, etc.) and the title of the fic that you want to create an NSFW spinoff of and I will contact the author and ask whether they'd be okay with it, and I will contact you again with their answer.2. Use common sense and context clues to try to create a work that the author you've assigned will enjoy. If they only written one slightly raunchy fic 5 years ago and now only write gen and fluffy SFW fic, consider that they may not be interested in receiving an NSFW fic.
Q. Can authors dictate what they want to receive and what they do not want to receive?
A. No, authors will not be able to dictate what content they would or would not like to receive (beyond specifying whether they would want to receive NSFW content or not). I'm going to assume that everyone participating in this event has the good faith to try to create a gift that their recipient will like using common sense and assume that every participant who signed up would have specified in their signup notes for the form if there was anything that would totally ruin their experience to receive/interact with and put faith in the fact that people will look at the authors they're assigned to and try to reasonably make a fic that their author will enjoy. If someone feels as if the work that they've been gifted has been written in bad faith, then I will handle the situation accordingly when that happens if that happens, where I am available through contact on Tumblr, Discord, and via e-mail.Q. You’ve said that the remix should be readable as a standalone work, but also that sequel fics are allowed. How does that work?
A. Good question. I use the word standalone to mean that the story you’ve written doesn’t drop off mid-sentence and that’s it, that’s the end; it should have a reasonable degree of completeness.Q. Is there an anonymous period?
A. No! Please check the posting guidelines email for further details.Q. How do I post my work? Are there any rules I have to follow?
A. These should be outlined in the posting guidelines email I’ve sent out, but if you have any further questions, please feel free to contact me.Q. Can I remix non-GDCG works?
A. Yes, as long as the work that you create is for GDCG.Q. Can we remix incomplete works?
A. Yes, you can remix incomplete fic for this event.
